My most formative role was at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where I led a cross-functional team of 30 deploying AI-powered virtual assistants and intelligent automation at federal scale. The constraints were real — FedRAMP, NIST, union contracts, peak IRS filing seasons — and the outcomes had to match. We achieved a 72% chat deflection rate, saving millions in taxpayer service costs while maintaining 98% platform uptime.
Before Treasury, I spent years at eGain implementing AI-powered customer engagement platforms for major enterprises including State Farm, Veterans Affairs, Wells Fargo, and LL Bean. That experience embedded in me a deep understanding of what separates a successful AI deployment from an expensive proof-of-concept: stakeholder alignment, quality training data, and relentless iteration.
